The best job in the world is one that allows you to earn well from doing it at your own home, at your own pace and in your own ways. It’s what you love to do. It’s what gives you more time to spend with your loved ones. It’s what makes you happy!
Network Marketing gives us that freedom of time. But, along with that freedom comes the need for hard work and the strength of character to stay focused and unequivocally say NO to unworthy distractions and unproductive diversions. This profession is not a walk in the park! It entails a great deal of planning, strategizing and discipline. If you want to learn more about building self-discipline, read blogger Pooja Shahani’s rich post entitled What is Self-Discipline?
So, how do you stay focused?
- Write down your ultimate goal in your business and etch it on your mind. Is it advancing to the highest Rank? Is it getting a bigger commission cheque? Is it generating a bigger Business Volume? Whatever it is, it should be your vision, your commitment and your motivation and inspiration. Your goal should be the anchor that prevents your ship from drifting.
- List down the objectives that would get you to your goal and know them by heart. Do things that matter. Join activities that are relevant. Your habits and routine should steadily propel you towards your goal. Acquire the necessary know-how, learn the tricks, establish connections and build and maintain relationships. Get help and offer help!
- List down the distractions that you need to conquer. Laziness, procrastination, unproductive activities, unnecessary expenses – these are the very distractions that you should never give in to; otherwise, you won’t be able to accomplish your objectives and you won’t get to your goal.
In a nutshell, when we start a Network Marketing business, we should not be uninformed about how it really works and unprepared for what it entails. We need to sow, cultivate and nourish a winning home business orientation and attitude. For solid and practical ways on how to get this, read The Home Business Mentality and How to Develop It.
According to Stephen Covey, we should “begin with the end in mind.”
